The Lookout Tower

The lookout tower Airbnb was a dream! The view and surroundings were beautiful, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and the overall experience was unique and luxurious. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub and enjoying the amenities during our stay. I would highly recommend this for a getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at Lookout Tower! We only wish we had more time there. It is clear that every detail had been thought of and the space is perfect for a weekend getaway or celebrating a special moment. We added on the private dinner with Chef P and that was amazing! The food was spectacular and you could tell she loved being a part of Selah Ridge. The atmosphere and simple touches truly made our stay cozy, personal, and filled with memories. We will definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay at Selah Ridge from August 23rd through August 27th was absolutely unforgettable! We stayed in *The Tower* and it was fabulous—truly the perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. We enjoyed a private chef’s dinner with David, who prepared a delicious 4-course meal served in a secluded greenhouse on the property. Every bite was incredible! We also treated ourselves to massages with Christie, which were so relaxing. I was even able to enjoy two rounds in the sauna—it was fantastic! I tried the cold plunge and at least managed to get my feet in—it was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for the brave. The owners, David and April, were terrific—always so responsive and attentive to any requests. We also booked a photoshoot with Kasey, and she was wonderful to work with. We purchased all the extras—the pizza kit, Bloody Mary kit, martini kit, and charcuterie board—and everything was fresh, locally sourced, and delicious. While all three properties were beautiful, *The Tower* was our favorite. It came with so many unique touches: a private putting and chipping green (with clubs included), a private hot tub, an outdoor movie screen with projector, and even a Blackstone grill (which we loved so much we bought one when we got home!). Selah Ridge is secluded, peaceful, and absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. Every detail was thoughtful and exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for the ultimate destination vacation—this is it! We can’t recommend it enough.

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at the Lookout Tower. It was just what we needed! It was so relaxing!! The attention to detail throughout the whole tower didn’t go unnoticed. Great hospitality too! We are thankful for our time there and look forward to visiting again one day.

Our stay at this treehouse was everything we needed—a peaceful escape tucked away in nature. It felt incredibly private, with sounds of the trees and birds around us. The space was cozy, beautifully designed, and perfect for unwinding. This was our second stay at one of the host’s listings. Highly recommend for anyone needing a true reset.

I am not one to write a review but I had to after this stay. Best rental experience!! Everything in the house was so clean, beautiful, thought through and the experience was entirely intentional. Daniel and April went above and beyond during our stay. Our tire went flat on the way out and Daniel came (without asking) to plug our tire. We are so grateful for them and our time to get away into the beautiful mountains and unplug for a weekend!! We will DEFINITELY be back!

We had a wonderful time visiting the tower. Our hosts were accommodating and the attention to detail was superb. We enjoyed the pizza oven and movie projector along with the porch swing and hot tub. It was a relaxing and memorable weekend!

The lookout tower was simple perfect in every way. No detail was left off. From the welcome basket with s’mores kits and wine to the extra blankets and robes. Walking in to the diffuser going (and making the place smell amazing), and the twinkling tree lights created the perfect ambiance. My husband and I had the most relaxing and enjoyable time together. The sunrise and sunsets from the porch were beautiful. We enjoyed s’mores and sitting by the fire pit with our wine. And watching a movie on the projector was the perfect end to the night. April and Daniel were so receptive to every question and all the suggestions for hike and restaurants were spot on. My husband and I have decided we want to make the lookout tower an annual tradition!

This is a most amazing getaway! Be prepared to get in some exercise with the stairs at the Lookout Tower but the view is worth it. You can always relax your muscles in the rock hot tub below or relax in the sauna at The Greenhouse and take a cold plunge to invigorate your body and soul! April and Daniel have thought of everything and our stay was better than I could have imagined it would be. Be sure to take advantage of the add-on options. We enjoyed making our own pizza and enjoying a bubbly drink. We were able to relax and enjoy each other and it was amazing!

My wife and I stayed our second night at Lookout Tower since Shiloh wasn’t available for a second night. The weather was supposed to be mostly rain, but we had a great day of mixed sun/clouds. We have stayed at several places but none close to this! The setting was so peaceful, private, but still convenient to food and shopping. My wife put it into our favorites almost immediately, and she kept saying the hosts have thought of every detail. I would definitely recommend staying at Selah Ridge Lookout Tower!

My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. It was the best weekend!! The bedroom is cozy and well air conditioned, the view is incredible (especially the sunset), and we were so thankful for the personal touches, recommendations, and extensive directions for everything. We booked the place literally a couple hours before arrival. It was peaceful, private , and perfect, and it has a beautiful view! We were so thankful to find this sweet place ! ❤️

we enjoyed the unique experience of sleeping in the treetops, listening to the pines sing, enjoying gentle breezes and fresh mountain air. The hot tub was so relaxing. The outdoor space allowed for enjoying nature with every comfort. The top cabin was so cozy, with so many intimate details. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

We stayed here for our "mini-moon" and it couldn't have been better. The seclusion and comfortability it offered was exactly what we were looking for. From the beautiful sunrises to wake up to, to the gorgeous sunsets viewed from the hot tub, every moment was relaxing. We also enjoyed massages at the greenhouse on property which we highly recommend! Christy was phenomenal! When we weren't at a winery or brewery around the area we were laid up on the porch swing reading while enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountain.

I had an incredible stay at this unique treehouse! The setting was peaceful and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The treehouse itself was beautifully designed, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a cozy and comfortable stay. The host was welcoming and responsive, ensuring a seamless experience. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying coffee on the balcony was a highlight. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind, relaxing retreat!

I do not know where to begin: First April and Daniel are two of the most genuine and friendly people I have ever encountered. Secondly the property is magnificent and a sight to see, truly breathetaking. Thirdly the tower was fantastic from the intimate setting when you first walk into the bedroom to the thoughtful accessories sprinkled across the tower (heated blankets. pizza oven, smore kit, etc.) We loved everything about this retreat and would recommend staying here to anyone that needed the R&R or a getaway from the busy lifestyle to relax.

My fiancé and I had a magical, peaceful experience at April and Daniel’s place. We came here for an early Valentines getaway and it did not disappoint. We actually teared up upon entering the third level where the bedroom is located because of the romantic music and overall ambiance. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout. Comfy bed was a huge plus. We made use of the hot tub, fire pit, outdoor projector, pizza oven and putt putt. Only 30 minutes from downtown Chatt, Rock City and Ruby Falls so we got to experience a lot within our 4 day stay. Thankfully the weather was great since the only shower is the outdoor one shown on listing. Only downside was the longer we stayed, the more stink bugs appeared in our room, getting into our luggage, etc. Also, the house does away from side to side with any movement, just a heads up for anyone with motion sickness issues. Regardless we throughly enjoyed our stay!

We LOVED staying at the Lookout Tower at Selah Ridge Treesort! The accommodations were immaculate and the views are breathtaking. (Extra special with the snow on the ground!) Such a peaceful place to unwind and reconnect... I surprised my husband with this getaway for his birthday and he said we will definitely be back! (Probably take the kids to stay at the Shiloh next- our middle daughter's name is Selah.) So glad I sprung for the upgrades: massage, charcuterie board and morning mimosas. :) We enjoyed the heated blankets on the outdoor swing bed on the 2nd level as we watched the sunset. We brought steaks to grill and helped ourselves to the coffee bar in the morning in our robes. Our FAVORITE thing was connecting in the hot tub overlooking the treetops. Even the outdoor shower was magical! Thank you Daniel & April for thinking of everything! We will cherish the memory until we can come back and make a new one!! :)

Beautiful place! The lookout tower is amazing and such a wonderful stay. The views are absolutely gorgeous. The bed is very comfortable and the bedroom itself is very romantic. There is a small kitchen upstairs and a grill on the second floor so it has everything you need to cook. The pizza oven is great and the pizza kit was very fun. There’s also a hydraulic lift for your luggage which is quite convenient. The hosts are very responsive and have great recommendations for things to do in the surrounding areas. The showers are outdoors on the first floor which is really cool and the water gets hot quickly. The hot tub is amazing on a cold night after a day of hiking as well as watching a movie on the projector in the swing under the heated blankets. I highly recommend this fantastic Airbnb, it’s a great deal!

Our second time staying at this location and won’t be our last! Absolutely beautiful location and hosts have thought of everything you might need or want!

Selah Ridge is the most magical place for a getaway. April and Daniel have thought of every little detail to make your stay special. We loved staying in the lookout tower and experiencing all the extras of the property including the private chef dinner, delivered cocktails and charcuterie board. We loved every second of our stay and can't wait to come back!

Came from Atlanta for a quick anniversary getaway, and my wife and I were blown away by the lookout tower. Everything is thought through, from the lift that takes your bags to the top, to the heated blankets right where you need them to watch a movie on a cold night. Beautifully constructed and a perfect location to escape for a few days. Will be back!

It was a day full of surprises for my husband. After hiking at Cloudland Canyon and a late lunch at McLemore Resort we drove to the Lookout Tower at Selah Ridge. Our stay blew us away!! April & Daniel thought of everything. The view, hot tub, each floor of the tower was amazing!! The music softly playing at the top with the most relaxing scent and a thoughtful welcome tray of goodies. We had a pizza kit delivered and enjoyed it after time in the hot tub and we watched the sunset. In the morning we enjoyed coffee & muffins along with the view on the porch before we had to head home. HIGHLY recommend Selah Ridge for time to getaway and reconnect with your love!

Words don’t do this place justice. They are beyond considerate with every turn of the place. Flour for the pizza dough, hair dryer and spare tooth brush, creamer and stocked kitchenware, heated blankets. You really escape from the moment you arrive. The amount of peace and beauty here is worth every penny and more. Even a short weekend getaway, you come home feeling refreshed and whole. Selah Ridge is absolutely some place special, we cannot be more thankful to have met April and Daniel and get to know their journey. I’m actively looking to book another trip here as we speak ☺️

Lookout Tower is absolutely magical! A wonderful weekend getaway spot. From the hot springs hot tub to the outdoor projector to watch movies from a hammock... we had an amazing time. Coffee and muffins on the upstairs patio, board games at the greenhouse, the beautiful bedroom. I could go on and on. We loved this spot so much and cannot wait to go back. April and Daniel are fabulous hosts. And the Lookout Tower is a very special place.

Lookout tower was absolutely beautiful and did not disappoint. Thank you April and Daniel for all of the care and love you put into lookout tower. We appreciated every little detail, from the s'more packs for the fire pit and muffins for breakfast to the section of tree tops cut away to perfectly frame the beautiful sunsets from the top balcony. Me and my husband had an amazing weekend celebrating our 18th year anniversary.

What words can actually describe the magic at Salem Ridge? We were so blessed as a group of girlfriends to come and share the entire mountain with just one another. We had snacks and drinks at each build and ended our progressive tour at the greenhouse being served a delicious meal from chef Jonny and his lovely wife Lindsey. It was a trip full of laughter, hot tubs, great wine, and just Joy overflowing out of our hearts. We loved every single minute. And maybe each of us lingered in the outdoor showers longer than we thought we would.

Our stay was as close to perfect as could be! The personal details did not go unnoticed and April and Daniel went above and beyond. It was relaxing with the perfect amount of adventure/exploration. We highly recomend it and will for sure be back!

We absolutely loved staying at the Lookout Tower! We loved how private it felt, the beautiful views, and had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor shower, the TV projector (used it both nights), the putting green, and fire pit. It was like having our own little private backyard. The bedroom was beautiful and cozy- loved the diffuser running and music on when we arrived (and of course the A/C!) The bed was comfortable and loved waking up to the sunrise. The location was easy to get to, we even ventured out to a few of Daniel and April's recommendations- we hiked at Haig Mill Lake and ate lunch at Native Kitchen which we absolutely loved. April and Daniel were welcoming, kind, and very gracious hosts. We felt safe on the property and felt so well taken care of. We had a very much needed relaxing weekend. We can't wait to come back!

This was by far the most amazing place my husband and I have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in 5 star hotels). April and Daniel thought of everything. As we got out of the car, the crickets and birds were welcoming us to this slice of heaven in Georgia. As we entered the top floor there was soft music playing, essential oils being diffused (not strong — just right), and an immaculate place that was so relaxing that we never wanted to leave. The views were amazing. We sat and watched the sunset from the deck on the top floor and relaxed on the swing on the second floor. Everything we needed to prepare food was there — grill, pizza oven, and microwave and all the plates and utensils. We loved the enclosed outdoor shower, putting green, hot tub and fire pit. This place was AMAZING! Next time you are anywhere near the area, book it!

We are so pleased to report our stay exceeded every expectation that we had. After losing my mom suddenly in my car in my arms (my husband was driving) in December we have sought for any relief and found very little. This weekend was EXACTLY what we needed. We spent quiet time reflecting crying healing. What a place to come and bask in the beauty of our creator. To allow solitude to speak loudly to our hearts. We both said it was THE BEST weekend of our lives and we’ve been blessed to have visited some pretty neat places. If you need refreshing rest beauty and serenity don’t hesitate book now.

We Loved Selah Ridge!

We had a wonderful two night stay at the tower. Lots of extra touches here and there to make they stay extra comfortable. They had plenty of coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. Delicious muffins for breakfast. Coffee creamer and half and half was in the fridge. They have plenty of blankets, extra chargers for iPhone, Apple Watch and android. The pizza oven was awesome…such a tasty pizza. Plenty of towels and comfy robes to use when getting in the hot tub. The bedroom stayed very warm with the split unit. Will definitely go back! One note: the tower does move/sway slightly. Worth knowing if you’re sensitive to motion sickness.

If your looking for a getaway. This is what you need to book. The views are amazing and they have great add ons. We loved the outdoor shower and great massage. This looked exactly like what they were promoting. The owners are outstanding, they responded quick and always reached out if we needed anything . We will be back !!

This was by far the best getaway my wife and I have experienced! I planned the trip as a surprise for our anniversary. The wife was absolutely thrilled when I revealed what I had planned. Once we arrived she was totally blown away. The setting is perfect for rest and relaxation. The property was exactly as depicted in the listing. The hosts were very helpful and informative. We will definitely be returning! This may very well be our anniversary getaway next year!!

Absolutely magical. As soon as we walked in I felt as if I was in my own little world in a spa. The place is better than the photos and my husband just said, “wow.” The welcome gift was lovely. Daniel and April have thought of everything you could possibly want. Check in was a breeze, clear instructions and local recommendations were sent prior, incredibly friendly and responsive. Daniel went out of his way to help us out of a bind that could have ruined our whole day. The bed was so comfortable that we are buying one for our home. We had one very minor issue with a cold water valve and the only reason I’m mentioning it is that I want it to be known how quick it was fixed. I gave them a few hours notice to order something for check in and it was delivered happily. We didn’t take advantage of the projector or golf because we were so busy but the swing and shower were great! I went to rebook today and I’m sad it’s not available for my dates, if it is for you, just go book it now.

This is our second time to April and Daniel’s properties. We saw our accommodations being built two years ago. Great hosts, private get away for the wife and I. They think of all the little things to make the stay enjoyable and unique. Pictures are accurate, place is better in person. We will come back again

What a hidden gem, we had a fantastic stay! This place is truly wonderful - we love the seclusion of the tower and all the amenities right on the property. The rain shower was phenomenal, the little golf course was so fun, the swing and projector set up is perfect for movies, the pizza oven is such a nice touch, and the greenhouse was so cool to check out! April & Daniel are very friendly, responsive and overall great hosts! The little details at the tower show how much they care. Cant wait to come back here!

This was a perfect place for a well- needed recharge…quiet, peaceful, wonderful…the Lookout Tower is what every luxury hotel should strive for…everything we needed and more…the sunset is amazing…we enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub, the putting green, the greenhouse, and the outdoor theater - a perfect way to end every evening…accommodations at their finest with a beautiful starry sky. I especially loved waking up to seeing the treetops blowing in the wind every morning…April and Daniel go far beyond what was expected…can’t wait to go again!
